Cricket Tour of Lanka

Celebrating your love for the game, the cricket tour is complete with matches and exciting excursions. After having received you at the airport, your comfortable transfer to the cultural centre of Sri Lanka, Kandy will offer you scenic views of a tropical island. Your stay here will include scheduled matches and visits to the Temple of the Tooth, the Spice Garden and more. Resuming your journey, you will travel to Colombo the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. On your way, a trip the famous elephant orphanage – Pinnawala will be incorporated. 

Amidst your busy cricketing schedule, enjoy a therapeutic retail session when your on your city tour of Colombo. An ideal time to pick some souvenirs before proceeding to your final match destination Hikkaduwa. En route you will make short stop at the fascinating turtle hatchery in Bentota. Indulging you in the all delights of a coastal holiday, unwinding down on the shores of Hikkaduwa is a possibility after your cricket matches.

Day 1 – Kandy

After arriving at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by one of our representatives and personally escorted to the coach. 

Your Transfer to Kandy will take place immediately. Enjoy the scenic views the journey offers while you reach the hotel. Then check in and spend evening relaxing by the pool or taking a quick nap.

Dinner will be provided by the hotel. 

Day 2 – Kandy

After breakfast you will leave to the training facility. At the training facility you will be able to practise and get ready for the upcoming matches. 

Spend the afternoon on an exciting city tour. A visit to the spice garden, tea factory, craft market and the celebrated Temple of the Tooth Relic. 

Highlight -  The Temple of the Tooth traces its origins to the late Kandyan Kingdom. Housing the sacred tooth of Lord Buddha, the temple is culturally the most significant temple in the country. Finished with intricate artistic motif common in that era, the temple is a fascinating complex to explore.

At the end of your excursion, you will return to the hotel in time to freshen up and ready for dinner. 

Day 3 – Kandy

After breakfast, transfer to your match venue, your first match on tour. 

MATCH 1 

Lunch will be provided between innings.

After the game you will transferred back to the hotel for dinner. 

Day 4 – Kandy

After breakfast, transfer to your match venue, your second match on tour. 

MATCH 2

Lunch will be provided between innings.

After the game head back to the hotel where you can take rest before preparing for dinner.

Day 5 – Colombo

Take breakfast at leisure before leaving to Colombo

En-route take a break at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you will have the opportunity to get up close to these magnificent creatures. Ensuring that your experience is a memorable one, lunch will be provided at the restaurant in the vicinity. Consume your meal in the ambience of these magnificent animals. 

Highlight – Get up close and personal with nature’s most majestic beasts at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Engage with them in their everyday rituals such as bathing and eating. The most fun activity here remains feeding a few baby elephants. 

After you have reached the hotel in Colombo, just unwind completely until the hotel serves dinner.  

Day 6 – Colombo

After breakfast, transfer to your match venue, your third match on tour. 

MATCH 3

Lunch will be provided between innings.

At the end of your match you will be taken back to the hotel where a scrumptious dinner awaits you. 

Day 7 - Colombo

Enjoy the soothing ambience of the hotel and breakfast at leisure. 

Spend the next few hours, enjoying Colombo with a guided City tour. You will have the opportunity to stop at the Odel the lifestyle store for some retail therapy and more.

Highlight – Diversity and history is what Colombo the commercial capital of Sri Lanka likes to boast. Enjoy the multicultural atmosphere by visiting key locations such as the Gangaramaya Temple, The National Museum, Galleface and more. 

Return to the hotel in the afternoon to freshen up and prepare for dinner. 

Day 8 – Colombo

After breakfast, you will be transferred to your match venue, your fourth match on tour. 

MATCH 4

Lunch will be provided between innings.

After your match you will be led back to the hotel for dinner. 

Day 9 – Hikkaduwa

After breakfast, you will resume your tour by transferring to Hikkaduwa.

On the way to Hikkaduwa, you will take a fun trip to the Turtle Hatchery in Bentota where you will learn about the conservation efforts to rescue and protect turtle eggs and hatchlings along the Sri Lankan coastline. 

Highlight – A reputed turtle conservation, the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda is one of the most fascinating places in the country. A rare chance to pet the little creatures, the hatchery is also an ideal place to learn about marine life and more.

After having reached the hotel, rest completely at the pool or on the beach. 

Relish a scrumptious dinner before getting a goodnights rest.
