Looking for a quick escape? This tour entails the best of hill country and beach for those spontaneous travelers. Spend a day exploring the sacred city of Kandy followed by a night in the misty hill country to witness production of the world reknowned Ceylon Tea. A night in a coastal town to unwind and indulge, concluding your stay with shopping, dining and other fun activities in the Commercial Capital.

 

 

Day 01

On arrival you will be met by our English-speaking chauffeur guide and transferred to Kandy. This 3-hour journey will take you to the last kingdom of Sri Lanka which lies amidst misty mountains. En-route to Kandy, you have the option of visiting the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage in time to witness the bottle feeding of baby elephants (feeding times: 9.15am, 1.15pm & 5pm)

Upon reaching Kandy, conduct a city tour including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. If time permits, you can also visit the Royal Botanical Gardens which includes more than 4000 species of plants and is renowned for its collection of orchids or witness the cultural dance show at 1700 hours.

Overnight in Kandy

 

Day 02

After a delectable breakfast, you will then proceed to Nuwara Eliya also referred to as “Little England” for its colonial bungalows, beautifully landscaped gardens and tudor-style hotels. After a two-hour journey from Kandy, you can settle in at the hotel or visit the Victoria Park and Lake Gregory.

After lunch you will visit the Seetha Amman Temple which is believed to be the spot where Sita was held captive by Ravana.

Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

 

Day 03

This morning you will be taken to Bentota for much needed relaxation by the beach. Though this drive will take approx. 6 hours, you will find it to be the perfect destination to laze around and engage in water sports. If you’re not too tired, you can also take a boat ride in the Madu River surrounded by mangrove forests and swampy marshlands.

Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Overnight in Bentota

 

Day 04

After breakfast proceed to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. You will conduct a city tour including visits to Arcade - Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, Pettah Floating Market, Nelum Pokuna, Galle Face concluding with shopping at Odel department store and Laksala. 

In the evening you have the option of trying out a few famous food outlets in the heart of Colombo.

Overnight in Colombo

 

Day 05

After breakfast proceed to the Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your flight back home.
