Yala Safari

A certified favourite of nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, the Yala Safari is one of the best excursions you can have in Sri Lanka. Located in the Habanthota district, the Yala National Park covers nearly a 1000 km of wildlife. 

Exciting the adrenaline pumped traveller, the Yala National Park is inclusive of six national parks and three bird sanctuaries. The largest national park here is the Lunugamvehera National Park. 

Safarists have the opportunity to calmly sync in with the beautiful environment. The numerous kilometres of forestry maintains a unique eco system, whole with a variety of reptiles, amphibians, birds and more. Envisage the image of the Sri Lankan leopard asleep on the tree or at play. Better yet, relish in the spectacle of a heard of elephants bathing in the rivers of the park. Paradise for wildlife photographers, the expedition will also provide adventurers a chance to appreciate a variety of plant species. 

Noted for its unique variety of birds, the park boasts of over fifty species of fowls. Haven for bird watchers, the park is declared as an IBS - Important Bird Areas.  

The entire territory is a treat for nature lovers, the safari can be enjoyed in two folds. If you prefer to engage in bird watching, the morning safari has been a popular choice. If you are however hungry to view larger beasts, then do schedule yourself in to the evening safari.
